Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Architect to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, disaster recovery (DR) planning, automation, and container orchestration. This role involves handling large-scale data replication, managing backups, and deploying and maintaining infrastructure using modern cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Multi-Region Data Management:
    1. Design and implement data replication strategies across multiple AWS regions.
    2. Ensure secure and efficient data transfer while maintaining data integrity and compliance.
  2. Disaster Recovery (DR) & Backup:
    1. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and automated backup processes.
    2. Ensure business continuity by designing highly available and fault-tolerant architectures.
  3. Infrastructure Management & Automation:
    1. Spin up and manage new clusters using AWS services like EKS and EC2.
    2. Design and deploy infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
  4. Container Orchestration & Management:
    1. Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker-based environments.
    2. Ensure seamless scaling, performance, and security of containerized applications.
  5. Automation & Scripting:
    1. Develop automation scripts using Python to streamline deployments, monitoring, and maintenance.
    2. Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and delivery.
  6. Monitoring & Optimization:
    1. Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
    2. Ensure cloud resources are cost-optimized while maintaining performance and availability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as an AWS Architect with a focus on multi-region deployments.
  2. Expertise in AWS services including EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
  3. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for containerized workloads.
  4. Hands-on experience with Python for automation and scripting.
  5. Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies and backups.
  6. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
  7. Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring solutions.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or equivalent certification.
  2. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins).
  3. Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus).
