$200,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr Executive Director, Accounting & Finance Recruitment - Asset & Wealth Management

A prominent private equity firm in New York City is looking to hire a VP of Finance to oversee its financial reporting, operational due diligence, performance reporting and valuations process, while overseeing a team of fund accountants. This person will report into the COO and work with other senior management professionals on strategic decision-making for the firm. Responsibilities

Supervise a team of accounting professionals Oversee financial reporting, operational due diligence and performance reporting for private equity, hedge funds and fund of funds Lead the operational due diligence review of underlying investment funds, and coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk departments to provide recommendations on terms, structure, and side letter arrangements that are incorporated in the investment committee materials. Lead the quarterly valuation meetings and reviews during the quarterly valuation process and propose valuation adjustments where necessary. Calculate investment and fund level performance metrics including gross and net IRRs and multiples. Participate in investor diligence meetings for new products, review of LPAs. Prepare and monitor fund expenses and vendor payments. Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and run rates. Review quarterly and annual financial statements, waterfall analysis, management fees, and other allocations Liaise with internal and external legal and tax counsel, auditors, custodians and administrators for the creation of new funds, blocker entities and special purpose vehicles. Set up a cash management process to determine reserves and available cash for distributions and coordinate with the deal teams to plan, evaluate, and execute capital calls and distributions to investors. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Accounting CPA preferred 10-20 years of experience in private equity space (mix of public accounting and private experience preferred) Maturity to support and interact with various portfolio managers and investment teams Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Seniority level
