Duties: The Hospitalist at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio works at various Clinic hospitals in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area, including Main Campus (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195), Hillcrest Hospital (6780 Mayfield Road, Mayfield Heights, Ohio 44124), Fairview Hospital (18101 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44111), Medina Hospital (1000 E Washington Street, Medina, OH 44256), Avon Hospital (33300 Cleveland Clinic Boulevard, Avon, Ohio 44011), and Marymount Hospital (12300 McCracken Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125). Hospitalists administer direct care to adult hospitalized patients; consult on hospitalized patients; discuss findings with other medical practitioners; evaluate patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery and outline the preoperative risks; optimize chronic conditions and prepare evidence-based recommendations for patients; coordinate internal medicine subspecialty care; provide support and direction to the management process for patients; optimize short stay models and care pathways to facilitate effective patient flow; ensure that coordination and safe care is being provided in a timely and efficient process; train medical students, residents, and fellows; and setup effective liaison with administrative, medical, and nursing staff to facilitate prompt management. Evening and weekend on call responsibilities as needed.
Requirements: At a minimum, the position requires a MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate, completion of a residency in Internal Medicine, Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Internal Medicine, and eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio.
Salary: $220,000.00 (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
