DevOps Engineer
***This position is currently hybrid. The DevOps Engineer is required to be onsite every 40 - 45 days to maintain system access or as needed for stakeholders or emergency meetings. Proximity to Tampa FL is ideal. ***
S2Technologies, LLC is looking for a DevOps Engineer in Tampa, FL. The DevOps Engineer will provide support with AWS technologies and implementing a DevOps pipeline as a senior member of the IT team. As a member of the team, the DevOps Engineer will support planning for future capabilities as well as implementing current technologies. Lead systems engineering functions such as developing a secdevops process and developing resilience and identifying issues with application(s).
The primary responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading systems to ensure the environment is secure and updated. This role includes, but is not limited to, patch management, system upgrades, backups, disaster recovery/business continuity planning, monitoring system performance and various projects to meet operational needs. Responsibilities include:
Lead engineering functions and support the rest of the team
Support releases
Support patch process
Support maintenance process
Create and monitor systems
Spin up and down resources
Investigate root causes of errors
Monitor resources
Implement security changes and document security posture
Monitor cost budget and expenditures for cloud resources
Develop and support functions to meet the various ilities of the applications such as scalability, vulnerability, expandability
Deploy new versions of each service for the application within AWS USSOCOM production environment
Support and prepare necessary documentation for accreditation and re-accreditation of application(s) in adherence to DISA STIGs and other established security protocols
Meet with clients and other program representatives
Participate during initial plan design and existing plan enhancements
Required Skills/Qualifications/Duty Experience
6-8 years of experience supporting IT in DOD environment
Ability to develop AWS/AZURE cloud architecture
Ability to develop cost estimates for cloud architecture
Ability to lead meetings, discussions, or similar actions with client teams, other programs and internally
Ability to lead a team and/or work as an individual contributor
Familiarity with DISA STIGs and other established security protocols
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Demonstrable experience with one or more of the following:
Vue.js
JavaScript
Python
REST
GraphQL
Kubernetes
Git
Node
Rancher
OpenShift
Docker
Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
Discipline to complete tasks while working remotely or telecommuting
DoD background (desired)
Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelor's in Information Technology, computer science, project management or related field. The equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
DoD 8570.01m Certification required (IAT-II)

Must possess Secret clearance and have ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance at time of hire
