About The Position

A behavioral health facility is looking for a child and adolescent psychiatrist for coverage.
The facility is located near Norfolk, Virginia.
This position requires a Board Eligible or Board Certified candidate with a VA license or one close to being obtained. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with a call rotation of one week per month.


Dates Needed:  Late April 2025 - 90 days with option to extend
Call Ratio/Schedule:  Based on call pool need
Case Load/PPD:  10-12
Shift Type:  Day Shift; Call
Assignment Type:  Residential Treatment
Assignment Duration:  Locums
Shift Hours:  Full time (40 hours)
Cases Treated:  Child and adolescents with mood disorder, history of trauma, substance abuse, and behavioral concerns.
Call Required:  Yes
Board Certification Required:  No
Prescriptive Authority Required:  Yes
Patient Population:  Children
Support Staff:  2 Psychiatrists;  1 part-time Psychiatrist;  1 Psychiatrist for Call Pool;  2 Full Time Nurse Practitioners;  1 PT Family Physician
