We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper in New Brighton, Minnesota. As a Bookkeeper, you will be a vital part of our team, managing financial records and transactions, ensuring accuracy of data entry, and handling customer inquiries. This part time position will be about 15 hours/week.


Responsibilities:

• Handle data entry tasks into the management software to accurately record member donations

• Provide acknowledgment to donors and maintain records of their contributions

• Oversee accounts payable, manage invoices, set up new vendors, and process reimbursement requests

• Initiate payments in a timely manner to maintain good relationships with vendors

• Review posted transactions in the accounting system on a monthly basis

• Enter descriptions and assign the correct budget codes for each transaction

• Upload and attach supporting documentation for all transactions

• Generate budget reports as needed and provide assistance to the volunteer church treasurer

• Perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing and payment
• Capability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice generation and follow-up
• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations to verify the company's records match the bank's records
• Extensive experience in Bookkeeping, maintaining accurate and comprehensive financial information
• Proficiency in Data Entry, ensuring accurate record-keeping of financial information
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting
• Experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial activities are correctly recorded and reported
• Knowledge of Payroll processes, including salary calculation and disbursement
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for managing and reporting financial data
