Mary Kay
Under direct supervision, performs routine and specific duties such as disassembling and reassembling processing and filling equipment for the purpose of sanitation and assists in the repair, replacement and/or troubleshooting of this equipment. Contributes to ensuring safe working practices are followed and contributes ideas to simplify and standardize the workplace.
About the Role
Utilizes basic hand tools to disassemble, inspect and reassemble processing and packaging machinery so that parts may be sanitized in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Reassembles sanitized equipment. Follows Micro and safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injury to self and others. Sanitizes filler parts, tanks, hopper bins, hoses, pumps and other processing/packaging machine parts and surfaces following written Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. Responsible for the repair, replacement, adjustment, inspection, and problem identification of the stem pumps, plate followers and diaphragm pumps to ensure that machinery is ready for operation. Performs CIPs for IBC's, processing equipment. Cleans exterior surface of stationary bulk holding tanks. Assists Production and processing Technicians in the repair, replacement, adjustment, inspection and problem identification of packaging and processing equipment to ensure that machinery is ready for operation. Education:
High School diploma or equivalent Experience:
1 year of manufacturing experience
Additional Skills & Abilities
Ability to use basic hand tools to disassemble and reassemble processing machinery. Ability to follow proper safety procedures to ensure correct assembly of processing equipment and to prevent injury to self and others. Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel, and lift 50 pounds independently in order to disassemble, reassemble, repair, replace, adjust, inspect, and maintain processing machinery and sanitize fillers and other machine parts. Shift or schedule change may be necessary due to changing business needs. Ability to interpret and apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
