In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in designing the coordination of seats and seat components. Coordinate changes with other internal company departments, vendors, and customers. Main Function Responsibilities
A) Reviews specification as related to assigned job.
B) Prepares check list.
C) Prepares lay outs.
D) Prepares structural sub-assemblies and drawings.
E) Prepares sketches for details.
F) Reviews drawing package to assure conformance to requirements.
G) Submits completed drawings to project lead for approval and release.
H) Liaison for assigned task.
I) Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
A. Education & Qualification:
• Must have a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree (minimum of 12 years equivalent related engineering experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree).
OR -
• Must have a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge:
• Additional 2 years of related design experience required with Bachelor degree
OR -
• Additional 1 year of related design experience required with Master degree
C. Professional Skills:
• Must have excellent drafting skills in CATIA V5 (or higher) and/or Pro/Engineer.
• Must be able to provide complicated lay-outs and program design studies.
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
D. Behavioral Skills:
• Must be able to interact successfully with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing departments.
• Must be able to function as part of a design team.
E. Desirable Aspects:
• APQP, D&PFMEA, Control Plan, Problem Solving (8D, 5W2H)
• CATIA V.5
Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.
Work environment: The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise.
