Our HCM Software company is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Permanent Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in supporting our financial operations and contributing to our company's overall financial strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Job Details

Responsibilities: As a Permanent Assistant Controller, your primary role will be to support the Controller in their responsibilities. This includes, but is not limited to:

1. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance. 2. Ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and other relevant financial regulations and standards. 3. Assisting in the management of M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition support. 4. Providing technical accounting support and guidance across the organization. 5. Overseeing revenue accounting, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition. 6. Assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial procedures. 7. Participating in budgeting processes and preparing financial forecasts. 8. Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties like lenders or creditors. 9. Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls. 10. Identifying opportunities for process and operational improvements.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need a blend of technical and leadership skills. These qualifications include:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is required. 2. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience 3. Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, M&A, technical accounting, and revenue accounting. 4. Proven experience in financial reporting, preparation of financial statements, and budget performance. 5. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.) 6. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting. 7. Proficient in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and accounting software. 8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. 9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. 10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
