Job Summary
Index Engines, a leading provider of cybersecurity and data resiliency solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to drive innovations in threat detection, data protection, and security compliance. This role will focus on developing advanced security capabilities aligned with industry best practices, enhancing enterprise resilience against cyber threats.
As a Product Owner for cybersecurity-focused scrum teams, the candidate will collaborate with security architects, engineering teams, and compliance experts to define, prioritize, and execute security-driven initiatives. The Senior Product Manager will work across Product Management, Engineering, Security Operations, and Technical Pre-Sales to develop next-generation solutions that protect enterprise environments, ensure regulatory compliance, and reinforce security best practices.
A strong understanding of core security principles, including the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) and AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting), is essential to ensure the development of robust security solutions. In addition, a practical knowledge of the NIST CSF core functions (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover) is ideal.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as Product Owner for cybersecurity teams, managing the product backlog and prioritizing execution of security-driven initiatives.
Define and oversee Epics and User Stories, working closely with engineering teams to develop security features that enhance threat detection, data protection, and compliance readiness.
Develop security capabilities that strengthen identity and access management (IAM), encryption, audit logging, anomaly detection, and forensic analysis.
Drive product enhancements that reinforce data confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA triad) to ensure resilience against cyber threats.
Implement AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) security models, ensuring robust access control, identity verification, and auditing capabilities.
Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure security features align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Engage with customers, OEMs, and security vendors to validate security effectiveness and adaptability to emerging cyber threats.
Provide strategic input to sales and marketing on cybersecurity innovations and evolving security trends.
Stay ahead of emerging threats, security best practices, and evolving compliance frameworks to enhance product strategy.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (MBA preferred).
3+ years of experience in product management within cybersecurity, compliance, or enterprise security solutions.
Strong understanding of security concepts, including CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) and AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting).
Practical working knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and security principles related to threat detection, protection, and response.
Experience with security technologies, such as IAM, encryption, audit logging, SIEM, SOAR, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and forensic analysis.
Demonstrable success in defining, building, and scaling enterprise security solutions.
Experience leading Agile Scrum teams, managing backlogs, and prioritizing security feature development.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment (onsite and remote) with occasional travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications (e.g., SSCP, CISSP, CCSP, Security+, and/or AWS/Azure Security).
Experience designing security solutions for B2B enterprise customers.
Familiarity with Zero Trust security, data protection strategies, and compliance.
Knowledge of threat intelligence, forensic security, and risk management frameworks.
Experience with regulatory-driven security initiatives, including Common Criteria (CC), NIST FIPS, FedRAMP, SOC 2, and ISO 27001/27002.
