SALARY:
The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of
$71,500
and
$79,100
annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintains up to date security standards across network and server resources. Assists with security on end user device configurations. Interfaces with equipment vendors to resolve server problems. Establishes and maintains a growth plan for the network to ensure the best quality-servicing environment. Provides planning and technical support for agency installations. Partakes in 24h / after-hour system support rotation providing monitoring and system support coverage as directed. Provides server support for IT staff and vendor technical services. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future expansions. Utilizes various tools and procedures for daily operational support. Documents any changes of such procedures as processes change. Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage. Develops tools and procedures for daily operational support. Assists in the development and maintenance of system problem analysis and resolution techniques. Member of the Information Systems Crisis Team. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience. Expert knowledge of agency's operating systems. Ability to apply security-minded design and troubleshooting strategies effectively. Ability to travel between agency offices. Ability to work weekend and non-business hours. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 5+ years programming, system administration, or related IT experience OR
High School Diploma or equivalent education (GED) and 9+ years of programming, system administration, or related IT experience. Security focused training and certifications for Windows Systems, Linux Systems and Networking. Ability to install and manage Cisco and Unifi network equipment preferred. Ability to administer Intune and AD Group Policy for end point management preferred. Ability to administer and manage Zoom Communications platform preferred. Ability to administer and manage Hypervisor, solutions such as VMWare VCenter, Hyper-V, Scale Computing, Prox Mox preferred. Ability to administer, manage and troubleshoot Windows server and Linux Server VMs preferred. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Satisfactorily pass all relevant screening and criminal background checks. TRANSPORTATION/MOBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
