About the Role ArangoDB is seeking a
Senior Product Marketing Manager
to drive global adoption of our multi-model database, with particular emphasis on our
GenAI
and
Data Science
offerings. In this role, you’ll shape
go-to-market (GTM) strategies , define product positioning, and build high-impact campaigns that showcase ArangoDB’s capabilities in
Graph Machine Learning (Graph ML) ,
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) , and
AI-driven analytics . Operating within a dynamic startup environment, you will have the autonomy to
think creatively , collaborate across departments, and execute initiatives that expand our reach among enterprises and developers worldwide. Key Responsibilities Strategic Product Marketing
Own product marketing initiatives from concept to completion, overseeing strategy development, execution, and performance measurement with minimal oversight. Craft product positioning and messaging in the graph database space, translating ArangoDB’s key functionalities into clear, differentiating market narratives.
Content Creation & Launches
Develop compelling content (blog posts, white papers, case studies, collateral, email campaigns, newsletters) addressing diverse use cases and audiences. Manage product launches, driving public relations, analyst relations, and associated marketing activities around new features or releases. Partner with cross-functional teams—Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing—to ensure alignment on GTM strategies, messaging, and product positioning. Work closely with Sales to develop and refine sales enablement materials and support broader revenue goals.
Market & Competitive Analysis
Assess competing database models (RDBMS, Document, Vector, Graph, Multi-Model) and deliver insights that inform product positioning. Refine target market segmentation and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP) to strengthen ArangoDB’s presence in key sectors. Lead competitive analysis efforts, identifying market opportunities and differentiators for ArangoDB’s offerings.
Demand Generation & Community Engagement
Align product marketing efforts with demand generation strategies to maximize pipeline impact. Engage the ArangoDB community through innovative campaigns and programs designed to increase product adoption and upgrades.
Metrics & Reporting
Establish success metrics and track relevant KPIs for all product marketing initiatives, reporting insights and recommending optimizations as needed. Regularly evaluate campaign performance, ensuring continuous improvement in both strategy and execution.
Other Responsibilities
Support and prepare for tradeshows, conferences, and industry events. Perform other duties as assigned to advance ArangoDB’s market position.
Qualifications & Skills Experience : 5–7 years in B2B Product Marketing, with a track record of hands-on execution. Domain Knowledge : In-depth understanding of enterprise data management and analytics, plus familiarity with GenAI and ML. Database Expertise : Working knowledge of competing database models, including RDBMS, Document, Vector, Graph, and Multi-Model. Marketing Know-How : Background in outbound and ABM Marketing is a plus, as well as experience with marketing automation and sales automation tools. Event Experience : Demonstrated ability to support and prepare for trade shows and events. Independent & Proactive : Comfortable taking the initiative, working autonomously, and handling multiple priorities. Collaboration & Communication : Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to distill complex technical concepts into impactful marketing assets.
