Our client, a luxury fashion brand, is looking to hire a temp Logistics Coordinator in NYC. You will coordinate all shipping receiving logistics.


Duties:

  • Oversee and execute the logistics of both domestic and international shipments for merchandise and non-merchandise products, ensuring timely and efficient handling.
  • Manage inbound and outbound shipments from storage warehouses, coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and stakeholders to guarantee smooth and punctual deliveries.
  • Liaise with various international partners, including countries of origin, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, to ensure the smooth flow of time-sensitive shipments.
  • Track and trace international shipments of merchandise to retail stores and warehouses, ensuring timely arrivals and resolving issues when necessary.
  • Pre-screen and analyze import/export documentation to ensure compliance with regulations, working closely with customs brokers and origin teams to avoid delays.
  • Ensure shipments are cleared in a timely manner and are fully compliant with U.S. import/export regulations and international requirements.
  • Source and negotiate best spot rates for non-merchandise shipments while remaining within budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records for compliance and audit purposes, ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Monitor and assess vendor performance by tracking transit times, managing exceptions, and providing detailed KPI reports to senior logistics staff.
  • Assist in the execution and coordination of import and export shipments for technical materials, including but not limited to furniture, fixtures, window props, supplies, and visual materials.
  • Analyze and obtain shipping rates for special events, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Review and approve vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in logistics, focusing on international and domestic shipments.
  • Expertise in import/export regulations and experience working with both air and ocean shipments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Incoterms and how they impact global shipping and logistics.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel (including Pivot Tables, V/H Lookups).
  • Solid understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule B codes.
