The successful candidate will be responsible for the talent development of the school leaders, coaching them to close student achievement gaps, and ensuring the implementation of a strong instructional model. This role involves frequent travel to schools, regular observation and feedback, and a strong focus on data-driven decision-making. The Managing Director will also be tasked with supporting school leaders in the planning and budgeting process, coaching them on a range of challenges, and providing talent leadership to build robust leadership pipelines. Applicants for the Managing Director of Schools position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or higher, with a preference for those holding a degree in education or a related field. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience as a high-performing school principal or manager of school principals, with a proven track record of closing student achievement gaps. Essential skills include the ability to lead school improvement initiatives, a strong desire to collaborate with school leaders and central office teammates, and experience in leading adult learning through professional development. The role requires deep experience in instructional model design and management, as well as the ability to analyze and use data to drive decision-making. The Managing Director will also be expected to act as a liaison between schools and the Regional Support Office, participate in talent reviews, and support change management initiatives.
