Job Summary: Our Marketing & Communications team delivers an integrated strategy to define, support, and increase

ZERO’s brand impact across all marketing communications channels. We utilize existing channels and tools while also creating new ones. We collaborate with business units across ZERO to position the company exceptionally, providing integrated strategic marketing and communications planning and support and delivering exceptional ROI. We seek a visionary Sr. Brand Creative Director to lead our company's brand identity, creative vision, and transformation into a powerhouse men’s health media platform improving and saving lives from prostate cancer. This role is responsible for developing and executing a cohesive brand identity that resonates with our target audience and drives growth through exceptional creative content. The Sr. Brand Creative Director will oversee brand identity development, creative direction, marketing initiatives, and content creation, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all platforms.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Brand Identity and Guidelines: Develop and implement a comprehensive brand identity that aligns with the company's vision, mission, and organizational objectives, including the following:

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify brand opportunities and challenges. Develop a strategic brand identity framework that better defines the brand's purpose, values, personality, tone of voice, and visual identity elements (e.g., logo, color palette, typography, imagery). Oversee the design and implementation of a refreshed brand identity system, including updated sub-brand logos, marks, iconography, and visual assets. Create brand identity guidelines and standards that outline the appropriate usage of brand elements across various touchpoints, including marketing materials, product packaging, digital platforms, and corporate communications. Build creative that better defines and articulates the brand's positioning, personality, and messaging.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, project management, and executive leadership, to gather insights and ensure brand consistency and alignment on brand refresh elements. Conduct comprehensive brand audits and market research to evaluate the current brand identity, positioning, and perception among target audiences. Analyze competitor brands, industry trends, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for brand differentiation and relevance. Develop brand storytelling narratives and messaging frameworks that effectively communicate the brand's value proposition and resonate with target audiences. Ensure consistent brand identity application across all touchpoints, including program and event materials, corporate communications, social media, and content initiatives. Continuously evolve and refine the brand identity to stay relevant and engaging in physical environments (e.g., mission events), digital platforms (e.g., website, social media), and marketing campaigns. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure seamless execution of the brand identity refresh across various projects and initiatives. Conduct training and education sessions to ensure all stakeholders, including employees, partners, and vendors, understand and adhere to the updated brand identity guidelines. Implement a brand survey and other metrics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the brand identity refresh, including brand awareness, perception, and engagement. Implement and refine the creative request system for internal creative requests. Continuously refine and evolve the brand identity to maintain relevance and alignment with the company's strategic objectives and market conditions. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging brand identity development and management technologies. Serve as a brand ambassador and advocate, promoting the refreshed brand identity internally and externally through presentations, workshops, and industry events. Develop and manage brand identity refresh budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful implementation and ongoing maintenance.

2. Creative Direction and Content Excellence: Establish the creative vision and direction for all brand and marketing initiatives, including advertising campaigns, digital experiences, and experiential activations. Oversee the conceptualization, design, and production of exceptional creative content across various mediums, such as print, digital, video, and experiential. Ensure consistent brand messaging, visual identity, and design standards across all creative projects and content initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure seamless creative execution and content development. Develop and implement a strategic plan to transform the brand into a powerhouse media platform. Identify opportunities for creating engaging and shareable content that resonates with the target audience. Leverage various content formats and distribution channels to maximize reach and impact. Foster partnerships and collaborations with influencers, creators, and industry leaders to amplify the brand's media presence. 3. Social Media Strategy and Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the brand's objectives, target audience, and media platform goals. Oversee the creation and curation of engaging social media content, including text, visuals, and videos. Manage the company's social media presence across various platforms, ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging. Analyze social media metrics and consumer insights to optimize content strategy and engagement. Stay current with social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms. 4. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Build, lead, and mentor a talented team consisting of a creative services manager, social media manager, and agency support. Provide cross-functional guidance to Communications, Mission, and Development professionals. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that fosters creativity and professional growth. Provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members to ensure high-quality creative output, brand alignment, content excellence, and social media success. 5. Brand Ambassadorship and Advocacy: Serve as a brand ambassador, advocating for and promoting the brand internally and externally. Deliver compelling brand presentations and pitches to stakeholders, clients, and partners. Represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements. 6. Performance Measurement and Optimization: Develop and implement metrics to measure brand awareness, perception, engagement, content performance, and media platform success. Analyze brand performance data, consumer insights, content metrics, and social media analytics to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Continuously refine and evolve the brand strategy, creative direction, content approach, and media platform initiatives based on data-driven insights and market trends. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, Communications, or a related creative field; advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of experience in brand management, creative direction, content creation, social media marketing, or a similar leadership role. Experience with both nonprofit and for-profit brands. Health, agency, and/or media brand experience is a plus. Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies, creative campaigns, content initiatives, and media platform transformations. Extensive portfolio showcasing exceptional creative work, brand development initiatives, content projects, and media platform successes. Strong understanding of brand strategy, consumer behavior, marketing principles, content creation best practices, and media platform development. Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma), content management systems, and social media management tools. Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills. Strong leadership, communication, and presentation abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Adaptability to changing trends, technologies, and market conditions in branding, creative, content, and media platforms.

Preferred Qualifications: Exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of media monitoring tools such as Cision, Google Workspace, Slack and other social media tools as well as the ability to convey complex topics effectively. An entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently and autonomously. Strategic thinking, along with analytical and organizational skills, exemplifies excellence in tactical execution. Exercises good judgment, a talent for diplomacy, and experience in creative project management. Confidence to engage and build consensus with multiple stakeholder and functional leaders at various levels. Physical Requirements:

Frequent use of a computer and other office equipment, including printers, calculators, and copiers. Prolonged periods of a stationary position at least 50% of the time. The ability to recognize details at close range for extended periods of time. The ability to distill, disseminate and communicate information and ideas in a way that others can easily understand and build upon..

This role will report directly to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and collaborate closely with the Mission and Development teams to support ZERO’s mission and goal of saving lives from prostate cancer.

This remote position allows candidates to reside anywhere in the United States. Travel may be required approximately 5% of the time.
