ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversees and coordinates certified staff and support staff professional development to promote effective educational and environmental issues related to student learning and teaching Oversees and coordinates effective supervision and evaluation programs for all employees Oversees and coordinates recruiting efforts for all employee groups targeting the most qualified and highly effective personnel to perform a particular job function Oversees and coordinates all activities and practices associated with the process of hiring, transfer, or dismissal of all employee groups Oversees and coordinates all activities and practices associated with all employee benefit programs. Oversees and coordinates all State and Federally required training of all new and existing employees. Oversees and coordinates the teacher mentor program Oversees and coordinates student teaching programs and placements. Oversees and coordinates substitute teacher programs and assignments Screens applicants for all positions posted for employment for essential qualifications and licensing required Screens applications for all positions posted and recommends candidates to building principals or other school personnel for interviewing. Assist principals or other school personnel in selecting candidates that will be recommended for employment Prepares and presents staff reports and other personnel related materials for the Board of School Trustees Maintains up to date and accurate personnel data and tracks appropriate licensing and/or license experience information Maintains up to date and legally accurate employee handbooks Act as the corporation's compliance officer and records agent for EEOC and Office of Civil Rights, and oversee completion of all reports and records of compliance as related to these agencies and for all employer related state and federal reports Coordinate the publication of employee rosters and personnel directories Coordinate the printing and inventory of all employee reporting forms and applications. Assist Superintendent in preparation of all employee wage and benefits provisions Assist with development of hourly employee work schedules and holiday schedules Assist with Workman's Compensation claims and coordinate safe work programs with risk management providers Assist legal counsel, when appropriate and requested, with administrative hearings and/or litigation involving employees, labor practices, student due process and other related matters Establish membership in appropriate professional organizations and participate in meaningful professional development so as to stay abreast with current trends and issues related to human resources Performs other duties as assigned by the superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS:
Administrator's License Required Minimum 5 years' experience as an HR Director
