We are seeking a software engineer intern with expertise in deep learning, statistical sampling, and vehicle behavior modeling. In this role, you will apply data-driven techniques to develop a robust framework for evaluating and verifying data-driven scenario generation methods for autonomous vehicle testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance autonomous driving technology and drive innovation in simulation and model development.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop data-driven methods to generate realistic and challenging edge-case scenarios. Analyze the fidelity, diversity, and coverage of generated scenarios in comparison to actual driving data using statistical metrics, domain-specific criteria, and simulation-based verification. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to improve scenario generation algorithms, smart agent models, as well as traffic generation mechanism. Required Skills
Pursuing MS or PhD in mechanical, electrical, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field. Strong understanding of domain randomization, probabilistic and statistical methods. Experience with autonomous vehicle or robotics simulation and related concepts. Background in autonomous vehicle prediction, planning, control, and simulation tools. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting. Preferred Skills:
Experience in simulation fidelity verification and edge-case generation for autonomous vehicle testing. Familiarity with state-of-the-art deep learning models and their applications.
