Intellectual Property Partner

A leading national law firm with one of the largest Intellectual Property practices in the country is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intellectual Property Partner to join their team in New York. The firm is committed to delivering strategic, business-focused IP solutions across a wide range of industries, including biotechnology, engineering, and software. Responsibilities: Provide strategic legal counsel on a full spectrum of intellectual property matters, including patent filings, litigation, licensing, and portfolio management. Develop and execute IP strategies that align with clients' business objectives across industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, software, and engineering. Oversee due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and investment transactions related to intellectual property assets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, patent agents, and other attorneys, to deliver exceptional client service. Represent clients before federal district and appellate courts, the USPTO, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, the International Trade Commission, and other relevant forums. Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar. Extensive experience in intellectual property law, with a strong background in patent prosecution, litigation, and strategic counseling. Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) preferred. Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale IP portfolios and high-stakes litigation. Strong technical background with expertise in one or more relevant industries, such as biotechnology, engineering, pharmaceuticals, or software. Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a track record of business development success.
