Sanzaru Games is looking for an experienced Level Designer. The Level Designers are responsible for ownership over creating exciting and evocative gameplay experiences from concept, block out to final. Level designers will help assist in daily level workload as well mentor and assist direct level design direction. As a level designer, you are responsible for identifying and assisting building out clear workflow and pipelines for the level design team. Level designers work closely with all disciplines to help ensure game levels have fun scenarios, are well-composed and are well integrated into the game’s overarching narrative. Sanzaru is looking for someone with experience designing, developing, and polishing game levels including level geometry, enemy encounters, puzzles, and moment to moment gameplay. We are big gamers at the studio and want to hire game developers with the same passion and fun pushing the boundaries of VR gaming. Responsibilities

Design and establish a detailed level plan from paper to 3D block out and final art implementation. Work closely with design leadership to ensure levels hit important narrative and game mechanics. Level scripting and setup using script-based languages like UE blueprint. Collaborate with Environment Artists to create a level’s feel and overall composition. Manage all design-related assets and data associated with each assigned level. Help establish level design pipelines and help the team adhere to best practices. Develop a thorough understanding of hardware limitations and how to design around them. Work with systems designers and engineers on global game systems needed to support levels. Gather and act on game test feedback with the aim of creating the best experience for all players. Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of industry experience working as a level designer in games. Portfolio showcasing your Level Design work. Familiar and open to working in VR. Experience resolving design issues for level design and flow. Working knowledge of Unreal 5. Intermediate experience of level black out workflow and working alongside an artist. Experience with multi-tasking and adapting easily to change. Experience in shifting focus as needed. Experience working in an environment with cross-functional feedback. Preferred Qualifications

Narrative and storytelling experience. US$112,000/year to US$161,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
