A federal client of Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer 2 to create and enhance data pipelines, architectures, and datasets, supporting Chief Data Officer initiatives. The role involves applying data modeling, mining, normalization, privacy, and security, designing unit and integration tests, and participating in Agile meetings. The engineer will share insights across teams, identify risks, write complex code for data processing, craft advanced queries, and establish data storage systems. Additionally, they will implement data streaming solutions and ensure compliance with data governance strategies.

Required Skills & Experience - Experience with ETL pipeline development, data modeling, and governance - Active Secret clearance required - Prior experience with Qlik (or similar) and proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing - Experience with metadata management, Data Dictionaries, and Metadata Catalogs - Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance - Hands-on experience with distributed systems and real-time data processing - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and data stewardship collaboration
