Summary of Position The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for driving group sales, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the achievement of revenue goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the luxury hotel segment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Roles and Responsibilities Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve group sales targets and maximize revenue. Identify new business opportunities and markets to grow group sales. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and negotiate contracts to secure group bookings. Work closely with other departments, including catering, events, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of group bookings. Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting group business. Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote group sales and establish relationships with potential clients. Maintain a strong presence in the luxury hospitality market. Proactively manage, qualify, solicit, and book group blocks. Prepare brand communication such as proposals and contracts. Responsible for ensuring the closing of the sale. Effective management of a portfolio of key accounts through planned sales activities. Identify opportunities to up-sell into premium and suite categories. Travel for participation in tradeshows and workshops may be required. Hosting of site inspections and familiarization trips as needed. Must have exceptional attention to detail and follow-up skills to create client loyalty and confidence. Monitor actual sales and revenues to determine variance and assess goal accomplishments and adjust strategies accordingly. Monitor and achieve sales targets and revenue goals for group business segment. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in group sales within the luxury hotel segment, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Passionate about luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences. In-depth understanding of the luxury hotel market, client preferences, and industry trends. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Possible prolonged periods of standing. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
