This position will work on-site in Miramar, Florida.

Position Summary:

Royal Caribbean Group's IT Department seeks a highly talented and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our fast-pace and innovative Windows Server Technology team.

The core function of the Systems Engineering, Sr role is to provide an infrastructure for supporting many of the business's compute needs along with ancillary tooling and services. Our customers consist of various business and product teams as well as many RCG partners around the globe. The core function of the Systems Engineering team responsible for providing an infrastructure for a wide array of compute needs along with any supporting tooling and services. Systems Engineers, Sr are provided a unique opportunity to work across a broad set of systems and are encouraged to take on cross-functional challenges and projects. This flexibility allows the team to make impact in the areas they are most passionate about while still being able to experience a broad set of disciplines providing value to RCG.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain RCG's internal, globally distributed virtual compute environment with a focus on the performance, availability, cybersecurity compliance, and business growth needs of the company. Design and maintain our monitoring, reporting and capacity planning functions using RCG's internal monitoring and data systems. Design and maintain a virtualization DR strategy that integrates with RCG's production strategies and targets. Work with hardware vendors in conjunction with RCG's own infrastructure and capacity teams to deliver a set of compute and storage strategies that align with RCG's cybersecurity standards and lifecycle management. Build effective partnerships with business and product teams along with relevant service owners to provide a first-class compute infrastructure. Plan and lead the implementation of complex application and core server system designs. Develop and champion efforts to improve processes through automation. Defines interdependency with other disciplines and is involved in the testing and certification processes.

Lead, direct, and provide technical guidance to team of systems engineers. Recommend process, organizational, and system changes to support key team objectives. Support, operate, and maintain computer systems and software applications. Interpret, refine, and apply methods and procedures in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Information Technology industry standards and best practices as defined by Royal Caribbean Group. Remain current with industry trends to conceive, prototype and recommend technical approaches for IT systems and solutions that meet business requirements. Able to travel as necessary to perform required job duties. Perform other duties as required. Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills :

Expert level knowledge of VMWare virtualization technology - Vmware vSphere (8+ years of experience). 3+ years of experience in hybrid cloud computing environments (Azure/AWS). 5+ years of experience managing a Windows Server environment. 3+ years working with Cisco UCS server platform. 3+ years managing hyperconverged server infrastructure (VSAN/Nutanix preferred). Experience with automation tools simplifying deployments of Windows and VMware resources to on-prem and cloud. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell. 5+ years of Group Policy and Desired State Configuration authoring experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Bachelors' degree or equivalent preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills. Must possess and have proven troubleshooting skills and independently manage projects and issues. Candidate should be detail oriented, organized, and the ability to multi-task. Ability to demonstrate supportive relationships with peers, clients, partners, and IT leadership. Must have the ability to remain professional and navigate high pressure situations. Ability to retain and protect confidential material.

Experience with the following a plus: Designing, building, and managing AI server technology. Relevant VMware, Windows Server, and cybersecurity certifications are a plus. Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards in server technology and Active Directory such as CIS, NIST, etc. Managing enterprise Hyper-V or Nutanix virtual environments with stretch cluster. Azure Arc hybrid and multi-cloud management. Configuration management systems including PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC) Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc. Linux distribution systems. Programming in Python, PowerCLI, Go, Ruby, PowerShell, BASH. Understanding of multi-tiered web service architecture and SaaS model. Maintaining systems in a load-balanced environment. Enterprise system monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, etc. Managing server systems in travel/leisure industry. Financial Responsibilities

Solid understanding of accounting rules for expense and capital activities. Solid understanding of IT estimation activities. May lead large/complex estimation activities. Meets expectations in meeting deadline within budget, schedule and appropriate quality Accountable for financial implications and cost of systems and services. Responsible for defining optimization opportunities to manage expenses. Create build of materials (BOMs) and review vendor quotes for services/material. Key Traits About You
