Cedars of Marin provides day programs and residential opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Cedars began in 1919, and for more than a century our person-centered programs and services have supported hundreds of clients in living creative, productive, joyous and healthy lives.
We are seeking a full-time DSP in our Community Connections program to work directly with a young man, providing support for him to participate in various activities including music and arts & crafts. You will help with the oversight of his day to day functions, and provide support in a manner that ensures his health, safety and happiness.
Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm. The hourly rate of pay is $21.00.
Bonus of up to $1,000 distributed over the course of the first year of employment. Requirements Experience in supporting adults with developmental disabilities is strongly desired. A desire to help others achieve their full potential. Medical background, skills, and terminology is a plus. Ability to think ahead and take initiative. English communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to drive a passenger van. A valid CA driver's license and 3 years of driving experience. Proficient in the use of email. CPR and First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire both. Ability to pass an occupational employment physical including a TB test, and meet the physical requirements of the job. Ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ.
