The Recruiter is responsible for attracting suitable candidates for open job positions and assessing their relevant knowledge and experience. The recruiter remains up to date on the requirements of the various positions in the company and acts as an advocate for new and established employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Achieves staffing objectives across the organization by recruiting and evaluating job candidates and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
- Determines applicant requirements by studying job description, job qualifications, and meeting with hiring teams.
- Attracts applicants by placing internal and external job advertisements.
- Determines responses and qualifications by conducting recruiter phone screens with applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules.
- Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and total rewards.
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation, ensuring compliance, recommending new procedures, and conducting training.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes human resources’ and organization’s mission by completing related results as needed.
- Creates and maintains policies, procedures and process documents related to recruiting and interviewing processes.
- Assists with the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the Applicant Tracking System and provides training to hiring managers on its use.
- Provides input and assists with the development and implementation of the organization’s onboarding and orientation processes.
- Provides recruitment reports to Human Resources team and hiring managers.
- Assists with engagement activities, special projects, and HR initiatives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or minimum 5 years of related work experience.
- Advanced in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Ability to focus on multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision and initiative to carry out assigned projects to completion.
- Customer-focused with a willingness to serve others and project a 'service attitude.'
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with and build and maintain relationships with employees at all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
