The University of South Alabama, a NCAA Division I institution, charter member of the Sun Belt Conference and located on the Gulf Coast in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Football Recruiting. The position’s responsibilities include:
- Oversee the onboarding process for all incoming football student-athletes, serving as a liaison for on campus partners such as University Admissions, Office of Compliance, Athletic Academic staff, and University Housing to ensure proper acclimation for incoming student-athletes.
- Direct the planning and execution of all on-campus recruiting and special events, such as Official Visits, Unofficial Visits, Game Day Visits, Junior Recruiting Days, and Fan Forums.
- Responsible for all parent and family communication and relations, including program newsletters, weekly in season game day information, hosting events such as Family BBQs and Senior Night Banquets, and all relevant program updates.
- Housing Liaison in conjunction with Compliance.
- Works closely with Athletics Compliance to monitor recruiting contacts and evaluations and ensures records are consistent.
- Supervises student workers and managers who assist in the recruiting process.
- Serves as primary liaison with the Athletic Business Office and oversees the timely submission of appropriate paperwork.
- Other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, possession of a valid driver’s license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage under the University of South Alabama.
