Job Description
Geri Goldman Engineering is seeking a qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer that has experience in Public work in the New York City area, preferably with MTA and the NYC School Construction Authority and sustainability design for Commercial and Industrial facilities. This is a full-time role for a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that project objectives are met on time, within scope, and within budget. Your role will be pivotal in driving project success and maintaining client satisfaction. The role will also require management of the employees and project schedules. MUST LIVE IN THE NEW YORK CITY METRO. Key Responsibilities
Lead project planning, execution, and closure phases, ensuring that all project goals are achieved. Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate and manage project resources, including team members, vendors, and stakeholders. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to senior management and clients. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution. Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and best practices. Quality control/Quality Assurance for all project designs. Site visits to be performed for projects in Design. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field required. Minimum of 20 years of experience in project management, with at least 10 years in a senior role. Professional Engineering License in the State of New York is required. Understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm, and Communication systems in subway systems, commercial buildings and industrial buildings. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable. Strong understanding of project management methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in project management software tools. Understanding of the NYC Building codes and the NYS Building codes. Review submittals and shop drawings. Respond to RFIs. Benefits
