We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Finance to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's success by ensuring the financial integrity and sustainability of our operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, outstanding leadership skills, and a deep understanding of financial management in the Accounting + Finance industry. With a focus on annual budgeting, grant management, ledger maintenance, monthly reporting, and financial reconciliation, the Director of Finance will play a crucial role in guiding our organization towards its financial goals. Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of the organization's annual budget, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Oversee the management of grants, ensuring compliance with all financial reporting requirements and optimizing the utilization of grant funds. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare monthly financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors. Manage the financial management function, ensuring the effective and efficient use of financial resources and the implementation of sound financial policies and procedures. Oversee the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Maintain the balance sheet, ensuring its accuracy and completeness. Work with auditors to ensure the successful completion of the annual audit. Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, MBA) is strongly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on budgeting, grant management, ledger maintenance, monthly reporting, and financial reconciliation. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proven leadership skills, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights and recommendations. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences. High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Proficient in the use of financial management software and systems.
