We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team at One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Stamford, CT. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our HVAC company and contribute to our continued success. The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for ensuring that customer needs are met while implementing the policies and procedures of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning. The GM will manage, guide, and set profit margin and service expectations for all managers, supervisors, and field staff while ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of HVAC services and products. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's operations while reporting to the CEO Develop and implement operational policies and procedures Ensure efficient use of resources and effective workforce management Monitor and analyze operational performance and productivity Develop and implement best operational practices to achieve budget gross margins. Oversee branch spending to include labor, vendor agreements, inventory, and fleet Oversee safety compliance to include employee training, safety tracking, and employee compliance assessments Maintain compliance of licensing, permitting, and code requirements including OSHA Manage and develop service staff to include recruiting, hiring, termination, discipline, scheduling, conducting staff meetings, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments Evaluate workloads and personnel schedules to maximize efficiency in achieving profit and customer satisfaction objectives Provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing technical and communication training to all subordinates Review service paperwork and ensure all field personnel adhere to procedural standards Conduct job site surveys, field personnel ride-alongs, and work evaluations Assist dispatching operation in ensuring appropriate technician selection for the type of service Effectively manage conflict resolution with clients Always maintain a professional image by: Wearing only company approved and provided One Hour apparel in the field Abiding by All One Hour standards of performance and code of ethics Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates Requirements: Must have a minimum of 5 years proven work experience as an Operations and or General Manager or similar role Must have a minimum of 10 years of verifiable managerial, technical, and sales experience in HVAC Knowledge of the fundamentals of operational functionality of residential and light commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation equipment and current HVAC products Must be familiar and able to work with Service Titan software, iPads, Mac Books, Microsoft Word and Excel or Apple versions Knowledge of the layout, installation, and service requirements for residential and light commercial HVAC Consistent track record of meeting/exceeding annual revenue goals, sales experience is a major plus Ability to understand effects of economic, financial, and market conditions on the business Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Knowledge of local codes and permitting requirements Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards Strong organizational and leadership abilities Bachelor's degree in business administration or relevant field, and or GED or HVAC Technical School Graduate EPA and NATE Certification Extended work hours to include day and/or evening shifts when needed Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs Work assignments may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation to a known disability About Us:
