JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our established team as Marketing Manager . You will be as well-versed in the tactics of marketing as you are in marketing strategy, managing the full-range of critical marketing, communications and business development functions across the firm - an award-winning New York interior design practice. You’ll play a pivotal role maintaining all marketing channels, handling all aspects of press, and supporting business development and strategy, all while elevating and generating awareness plus engagement for the Paris Forino brand. The successful candidate will report to the owner, Paris Forino, and the COO.
The position is full-time but we are open to a part-time candidate with sufficient experience . In-person presence in our Midtown South office is required. Permanent, existing U.S. work authorization is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Master's preferred, and plus 5-7 years marketing/PR experience, ideally in the design industry or with an interior design or architectural firm or extensive working knowledge of the design industry (i.e. styles and trends, publications, competitors, process, etc.).
• Demonstrable, extensive experience in market strategy.
• Hyper-organized, creative, strategic, detailed, and action oriented.
• Comfort with taking initiative proactively, working autonomously, multi-tasking, time-management and prioritization.
• Highly professional, discreet, reliable, responsible and responsive.
• Strong writing, creative and interpersonal skills. Gifted in both external and internal communications with various editors, vendors, suppliers, partners, and clients.
• General proficiency with all social media platforms (Instagram, Linkedin, Pinterest), website publishing and maintenance (Contentful), newsletter creation and deployment (Constant Contact), blog writing and posting (Substack), basic graphic design and content creation (Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva), Google Drive and Microsoft Suite.
• Experience with organizing photoshoots and planning/ executing small events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Strategy: Overall management and development of brand, positioning, value propositions and market engagement.
• Business Development: Support business operations by helping to identify opportunities and initiatives to grow the business and generate more awareness and engagement for the brand. Manage CRM and contact database. Manage a communications strategy to reach existing and prospective clients, partners, and new business.
• Marketing: Omni-channel marketing responsibilities and management across social, site, email, and blog. Content strategy and planning, content creation, scheduling and posting.
• Communications: PR management. Maintain, nurture, and build new relationships with editors and design publications. Reactive correspondence with editors for story inquiries, and proactive pitching for press to promote residential projects with key publications and shelter magazines across digital and print. Facilitate story development from pitching, interviews and information gathering, fact checking, and cross – promotion upon publishing. Maintain a database of existing press clippings and contacts.
•Collaboration: Work with vendors on collaborative social content and cross-promotion of content. Work with commercial sales & marketing teams to leverage their press strategies and keep track of press hits plus collaborative marketing opportunities.
•Reporting: Monitor and analyze performance of marketing content to inform future strategy and initiatives. Share progress with leadership
• Photoshoots: Help to project manage and coordinate photoshoots as projects are installed across residential and commercial. Work with vendors on scheduling, shot list, styling needs. Be present at shoot to ensure all necessary content is captured for both press and behind the scenes/ social.
• Events: Ideate, hire vendors, order catering/ decor and execute small events – from office gatherings to client- facing events.
• Gifting: Nurture key relationships and manage client gifting from one-off needs to large moments like holiday.
• Portfolios, proposals and contracts: Update portfolios with up-to-date project imagery, and support the proposal documents and process for new projects.
• Industry/Trends: Stay abreast commercial real estate news and trends. Identify opportunities for new business and projects. Stay abreast residential design industry trend and opportunities (awards, design showhouses, books, etc.)
• Other: Special projects as they arise.
