Our client, a large financial company in NYC, is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager, Market Research and Insights for a 6-month contract with the potential to extend. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping marketing strategy through data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, identifying and testing creative for sponsorships, and delivering actionable consumer insights. With a strong background in market research, media, and creative, you will leverage large data sets to uncover key trends and opportunities. Your ability to analyze data, read between the lines, and present compelling narratives will be essential in influencing key stakeholders. You will manage both primary quantitative and qualitative research projects, ensuring that creative research and media measurement drive impactful marketing strategies.
Please note this is a 6-month contract with the potential to extend that requires 3-days/week onsite in NYC.
Responsibilities:
Lead the measurement of marketing campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Conduct and manage primary quantitative and qualitative market research, including creative research and media measurement. Analyze large data sets to extract meaningful insights, identifying patterns and trends to inform marketing decisions. Develop and test creative for sponsorships, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and audience engagement. Present research findings in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, and media, to integrate research insights into campaign planning. Oversee external research vendors and manage research budgets to ensure efficient and effective project execution. Stay informed on industry trends, emerging research methodologies, and competitive insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in market research and consumer insights, with a focus on media and creative. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets and derive meaningful insights. Proven experience in managing primary quantitative and qualitative research projects. Expertise in measuring marketing campaign effectiveness and media performance. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing research vendors and budgets. Ability to think critically, read between the lines, and provide strategic recommendations.
