We are in search of a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant for a permanent role in our Accounting + Finance department. This position is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives on managing multiple tasks, working in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to take on the challenge of a pivotal role in our organization. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of a portfolio of commercial properties, including shopping centers and retail spaces. This role requires a deep understanding of Yardi, MRI, and CAM reconciliations.

The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of a portfolio of commercial properties, including shopping centers and retail spaces. This role requires a deep understanding of Yardi, MRI, and CAM reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes for a portfolio of commercial properties.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations.
- Oversee and conduct CAM reconciliations, ensuring all related expenses are captured and allocated correctly.
- Utilize Yardi and MRI software for accounting and financial reporting purposes.
- Work closely with property management and leasing teams to ensure accurate reporting of rent rolls and leasing commissions.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing variance analysis and explanations as needed.
- Participate in the preparation of year-end audit materials and tax return schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and stay updated on current industry standards and regulations related to commercial property accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on commercial property accounting.
- Proficient in Yardi, MRI, and CAM reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting related to commercial properties, shopping centers, and retail spaces.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- CPA designation or candidacy is a plus.
