JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor Accounting is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, including leading, coaching, recruiting, mentoring, and training staff. This role oversees the operational activities of the Accounting Department, ensuring that departmental goals, policies, deadlines, and reporting requirements are met. The Supervisor Accounting serves as the primary point of contact for supplier and customer-related issues, addressing questions and resolving problems, and will escalate matters to the Controller or other management as needed.

- Supervise and oversee the daily and monthly activities of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accuracy in data, reporting, internal controls, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Lead, mentor, coach, recruit, train, establish goals, and conduct performance evaluations for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
- Enforce corporate policies, accounting principles, and methods.
- Develop, improve, and drive team efficiency, systems, and procedures, while initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- Oversee, reconcile, enforce policies, and manage Fixed Asset reporting, accounts, and audits.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions for Fixed Asset items to ensure alignment with the budget or outlook.
- Process, review, and approve customer purchase orders in the Quality Systems and ERP system.
- Support the Accounting Manager and/or Controller in various general accounting functions.
- Assist with the month-end process by preparing journal entries, reports, and reconciliations.
- Manage, create, and generate various reports as requested.
- Support internal and external audit and tax requests by preparing documentation and schedules for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets.
- File tax compliance reporting and payments as required.
- Handle various other related duties and ad-hoc requests to support the Accounting Manager and Controller.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or 10+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
- Ability to direct and supervise a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with large amounts of data
- Experience with Month-End Closing and Reconciliations with a strong understanding of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills.
Skills:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the company, to achieve team goals and business objectives.

- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- ERP skills in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

- Supervise daily operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team, including mentoring, coaching, training, and conducting performance reviews to ensure alignment with departmental goals, organizational objectives, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Mentor, coach, and train the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team, establish goals and conduct performance evaluations to meet department objectives.
PROBLEM SOLVING
- Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and are consistent with organization objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and address both short-term and long-term challenges.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
