About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining the quality and integrity of our products by performing inspections and ensuring compliance with industry standards. While certifications in CWI, ASME, AWS, NDT, or NDE are highly valued, we are committed to investing in the right candidate by providing training and covering certification costs. If you have at least 1-2 years of experience in inspection, especially in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conducting inspections of welded and fabricated components to ensure they meet the highest quality standards and comply with customer specifications.

  • Applying non-destructive testing (NDT) and evaluation (NDE) techniques to identify potential defects and assess weld integrity, utilizing methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and visual inspections.

  • Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to confirm adherence to design specifications.

  • Collaborating closely with the welding and fabrication teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensuring compliance with ASME and AWS codes and standards throughout the production process.

  • Preparing detailed inspection reports that document findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken.

  • Maintaining inspection tools and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and readiness for use.

  • Supporting quality control initiatives and driving continuous improvement in welding and fabrication processes.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of inspection experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment is required. Experience in welding and fabrication settings is a plus.

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) and non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods is essential. An understanding of ASME and AWS standards is highly preferred.

  • Certifications: CWI, NDT, NDE, ASME, or AWS certifications are preferred but not mandatory. For the right candidate, we provide training and cover the costs of certification.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills and a meticulous approach to identifying defects and ensuring quality.

  • Blueprint Reading: The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols effectively.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly document inspection results and collaborate across teams.

  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude with the ability to work closely with welding, fabrication, and quality teams.

  • Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment, including standing, climbing, and lifting as necessary.
