Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer  to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit  and possess strong skills in space planning, design visualization, and furniture selection. This role involves collaborating with clients, architects, commercial real estate brokers , and project managers to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Planning:  Develop innovative interior design concepts, floor plans, and layouts using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit .
  • Furniture Selection & Specification:  Source, specify, and recommend furniture, fixtures, and finishes that align with the design vision and client needs.
  • 3D Visualization & Rendering:  Create detailed 3D models and renderings to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Project Coordination:  Work closely with clients, contractors, commercial real estate brokers , and vendors to ensure design execution meets project requirements and timelines.
  • Collaboration with Brokers:  Partner with commercial real estate brokers  to analyze space layouts, tenant requirements, and property features to optimize interior design solutions for leasing and investment opportunities.
  • Material & Finish Selection:  Curate materials, fabrics, color schemes, and finishes to enhance the aesthetic and functionality of interior spaces.
  • Technical Drawings & Documentation:  Produce detailed drawings, elevations, and construction documents for design approval and implementation.
  • Client Communication:  Present design proposals, mood boards, and material samples to clients while incorporating feedback into the final design.
  • Budgeting & Procurement:  Assist in preparing cost estimates and managing furniture procurement within budget constraints.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:  Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field .
  • Software Proficiency:  Strong expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit ; experience with Photoshop, InDesign, or other visualization tools is a plus.
  • Experience:  Recent graduate or current student with relevant internship or project experience. More experienced candidates will also be considered.
  • Commercial Construction Experience:  Familiarity with commercial construction  processes, terminology, and industry best practices.
  • BOMA Standards Knowledge:  Understanding of BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) measurement standards  for space planning and area calculations.
  • Creativity & Attention to Detail:  Strong aesthetic sense with the ability to create visually appealing and functional spaces.
  • Communication & Negotiation Skills:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions, collaborations with real estate brokers , and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of Building Codes:  Familiarity with interior design regulations, accessibility standards, and construction practices.
  • Problem-Solving Ability:  Quick thinking and adaptability to address design challenges effectively.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) specifications  and procurement.
  • Understanding of commercial leasing and real estate trends  to align designs with market demands.
