Overview
FTI is looking for an experienced DevOps professional to join our growing organization. This position requires experience withContinuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using apipeline to automatically take committed code, runit through tests, and optionally, deploy that codeinto production. A keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge base are essential.The DevOps Engineer will support the development, testing, and deployment of program under U.S. Space Force (USSF). The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with a diverse program team and must be able to communicate effectively in obtaining and synthesizing requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Space/Ground Systems across the Department of Defense (DoD) Space domain. This work will primarily be performed in Colorado Springs, CO, with travel to integration sites as required. Responsibilities
Work directly with the DevOps team and Integration Test Engineers to ensure system integrity.
Design, develop, test and debug new features or enhancements to existing services. Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management. Build and test automation tools for infrastructure as a service (IaaS) &Platform as a Service (PaaS). Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve DevOps environment. Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations. Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery. Document and design various processes; update existing processes. Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages. Manage CI and CD tools with team in an Agile environment. Employ best industry practices. Education/Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility). Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related field required (Master's degree preferred). 6+ years' experience with DevOps and Software Testing. Experience with full lifecycle of software systems; including development, testing and deployment Experience with Platform as a Service (PAAS) Experience with Linux infrastructures Experience with Database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools Experience with scripting tools such as Python, Perl, Ruby. Experience with provisioning and orchestration tools, including Jenkins / Bamboo. Experience with Terraform in both cloud and on-prem environments strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with building and managing release systems, code merging and promotion, and CI/CD workflows and tools. Experience with CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments. Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, Mercurial, Perforce). Experience working with and delivering using Agile practices. Monitoring experience with Splunk, Elk, Kibana, Grafana, etc. Extensive knowledge of Cloud computing i.e. AWS, GovCloud, or similar. Experience with infrastructure development, or development and operations. Experience with automated testing. Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed team. For this role, the annual compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($106K-$177K)*. *Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
