Join our dedicated team in the Hematology/Oncology department as a Clinical Nurse II! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled nurse to work 36 hours per week during the night shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care while focusing on progress toward discharge within an acute care setting. Your expertise will directly impact our patients and their families during their care journey. Location: Mechanicville, NY, United States Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26 As a Clinical Nurse II, your responsibilities will include: Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments as needed. Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions. Assessing and evaluating patient needs and responses to care provided. Making sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions. Providing primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Collaborating with the nursing team to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients. Guiding and directing ancillary personnel while maintaining high professional nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree). Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Experience as a PCA or nursing assistant is preferred. Commitment to continuous education and professional development. Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques to enhance patient care quality.
