As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting in the patching, updating, and deployment of applications and systems. You will work closely with security teams, network administrators, and application developers to ensure the smooth operation of both physical and virtual servers. This role involves a range of activities including system troubleshooting, incident management, and customer support, while ensuring compliance with OIT policies and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the mission and support of the Tanium application and systems. Monitor and follow up on assigned incidents, problems, and change requests. Provide support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux-based systems. Deploy new or rebuilt computers and technology equipment in accordance with security and operational policies. Support software and hardware patching, updates, and deployments. Collaborate with the Network, Application, Database, and Server teams to resolve issues. Provide after-hours support for patching and security vulnerability updates. Participate in on-call rotation, providing urgent support during and outside business hours as necessary. Follow established IT processes and assist with documentation sharing and asset tracking. Provide assistance with project implementation and technical support for legacy software installation. Required Skills & Experience for the System Administrator: Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a Windows or Linux environment. Experience with system hardening, security compliance (e.g., NIST, CIS), and applying security patches. Experience managing both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS preferred). Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python. Strong familiarity with network administration, including Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto NGFW, Unix, Linux, and VMware. Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Puppet, or Tanium is a plus. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM. Experience with Google Apps in a professional environment. Familiarity with Crowdstrike, Tenable, or Tanium. Experience in large enterprise-level environments (100+ servers). What's in it for you? Compensation: $45/hr
