Monday - Friday Pay:

$35/hour (up to $80K once perm) Description: A middle school math teacher is responsible for helping students develop mathematical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Their responsibilities include: Teaching mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, fractions, decimals, percentages, and equations. Developing lesson plans that align with state and national curriculum standards. Incorporating real-world applications to make math relevant and engaging. Using a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, hands-on activities, and technology-based instruction. Encouraging critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Assessment & Evaluation Creating and grading assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects. Providing constructive feedback to help students improve their math skills. Assessing student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly. Preparing students for standardized tests and assessments. Classroom Management Establishing and enforcing classroom rules and expectations. Creating a structured and positive learning environment. Managing student behavior and addressing any disruptions effectively. Encouraging participation, collaboration, and engagement in math discussions. Student Support & Differentiation Identifying and supporting students with learning difficulties or special needs. Differentiating instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Providing additional help through tutoring, small group instruction, or after-school support. Encouraging a growth mindset and confidence in math abilities. Communicating with parents and guardians about student progress and concerns. Working with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to align curriculum and teaching methods. Attending faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and workshops. Collaborating with special education staff to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Extracurricular & Additional Duties Organizing and participating in math-related extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or competitions. Supervising students during school events, lunch, or recess as needed. Keeping up-to-date with advancements in math education and best teaching practices. Integrating technology and interactive tools to enhance math learning. Seniority level
