Open Systems Technologies . Operations Network Engineer Pay: $60-70/hr Duration: 12+ months Location: DC Metro Area is preferred, but also open to Chicago, IL
Flexible with work hours; Primary day shift, but could be some rotation here. Responsibilities: Apply advanced skills and knowledge to develop solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components. Understand the end-to-end performance of IT platforms and account for interrelated functionality and processes when developing designs. Establish and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Monitor performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions and lead the team in addressing identified issues. Qualifications: Required: 6-8 years of relevant professional work experience Cisco Route/Switch (SD-WAN, ACI, R/S) Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VxLAN and VPNs) Experience designing, implementing, and supporting SDN solutions, with a specific focus on Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) Engineering support and implementation experience of Checkpoint Firewall Designing, implementation and migration experience of Palo Alto firewalls Designing, implementation and migration experience F5 load balancers Experience automating repetitive tasks related to installation, configuration, or management of infrastructure using Ansible and/or Python Automation experience with Terraform Experience working in a cloud environment - primarily AWS but multi-cloud is a plus Cisco Meraki Provide Tier 3 and Tier 4 engineering support for all networks including hardware, software, process management, architecture design and configurations Experience working within Agile Methodology and CI/CD tools like GitLab etc. Experience working in a team lead capacity Excellent communication skills Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCNP level experience Desired: Bachelor's degree or equivalent Design and implementation of Zscaler Enterprise Proxy Solution Experience with Cisco's SD-WAN product Cisco Viptela Gigamon Platform for Network Tapping, troubleshooting, etc. Citrix Netscaler Agile process and jira platform experience Design and administration experience of DNS, DHCP, and NTP Architecture. Experience with Infoblox DDI architecture, deployment, configuration, and management API's Experienced in designing large enterprise network Seniority level
