Psychiatrist – Interventional Psychiatry (Esketamine & TMS)

The Psychiatrist at Optimum TMS & Wellness Suites is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, personalized treatment planning, and the administration of Esketamine (Spravato) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. This role is instrumental in advancing interventional psychiatric care, ensuring that patients receive cutting-edge treatments for mental health conditions in a supportive and patient-centered environment.
Compensation: Competitive salary, starting at $225,000, comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, 401(k) with match, PTO, and the support of a medium-sized, physician-owned practice with a strong administrative team.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Treatment Administration: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients receiving interventional treatments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient history and clinical presentation. Oversee the administration of Esketamine (Spravato) therapy, ensuring safety and effectiveness. Monitor patient progress, side effects, and treatment responses, adjusting plans as necessary. Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care. Education & Support: Educate patients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and the benefits/risks of Esketamine and TMS. Offer guidance and support to families and caregivers, promoting an inclusive approach to treatment. Work closely with nurse practitioners, technicians, and clinical staff to ensure a seamless, team-based approach to care. Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinical environment. Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff involved in administering interventional psychiatric treatments. Quality Improvement & Professional Development: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes. Stay updated on advancements in interventional psychiatry through continuing education and research. Assist in the development and refinement of clinic protocols and best practices. Skills: Board-certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO) with an active Ohio medical license. Expertise in conducting psychiatric evaluations and developing treatment plans. Familiarity with Esketamine (Spravato) and TMS therapy (training provided). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to lead and supervise within a multidisciplinary team. Strong decision-making skills with a commitment to patient-centered care. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Physical Abilities: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Frequent interactions with patients, staff, and community members in a clinical setting. Minimum Qualifications: Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO). Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program. Current CPR and AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience in psychiatric patient care preferred. Preferred Experience & Qualifications: Knowledge of Esketamine (Spravato) therapy and TMS treatments. Strong interest in advancing mental health care in an outpatient setting.
