Director of Events and Marketing Adventure Crossing The Dome, Bar and Grill, Golf & Entertainment–Township of Jackson, NJ
Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of advertising and booking events in each event space. Create, edit, enter and update contracts for events. Follow up on every event from the first contact to the final bill collection and execution of the event. Close cooperation with Food and Beverage Director to handle timing, food preparation, and execution of events. Qualify and distribute all leads to team members. Negotiate and manage the sale of group events of various sizes and complexities via lead follow up, trade show attendance if/when appropriate, proposals, site inspections, and contracts. Generate new business and build new client relationships; develop and present proposals to clients, with both general customers as well as corporate and non-profit organizations. Maintain existing client base through personal meetings, telephone, and email. Achieve weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals. Develop and manage follow-up procedures to ensure consistent service to all assigned prospects. Coordinate food and beverage packages with client and Food and Beverage Director. Create marketing email blasts, advertisements, and promotions focused on products and services offered within event packages. Strategize new ways to market, advertise, and promote to obtain new clients and businesses for future events. Keep strong notes and logs of previous discussions with event contacts for use by the entire sales and marketing team. Minimum Requirements: Management experience: 3 years minimum in a related field of Event management. Must be able to utilize software such as Aloha, Triple seat, Salesforce, or comparable event management software. Events management: 3 years (Required). Event planning: 5 years (Required).
