Haugesund Hospital has a full-time permanent position available as Old Age Psychiatrist/Geriatric Psychiatrist. We encourage general psychiatrists with an interest in Age-Related Medicine to apply! Helse Fonna HF consists of four hospitals located in Haugesund, Stord, Odda, and Valen. We also have four local psychiatric centres (DPS). It is part of the teaching facility network of the Regional Health Authority of Western Norway. Our Department of Age-Related Medicine is organized as a separate unit within the medical clinic. It contains three small wards with eight beds each and outpatient service for geriatric internal medicine, Old Age Psychiatry, and short-term observation for general internal medicine. The unit is approved for 9 months in the specialization program for general psychiatrists. As an Old Age Psychiatrist or Geriatric Psychiatrist, you must have a holistic perspective, and you will work closely with colleagues from other professions. We have our own Research group for Age-Related Medicine. We are looking for a psychiatrist who has interests in professional development and teamwork. Doctors in their final years of specialization are encouraged to apply!
