Director of Sales-TownePlace Suites O’Fallon Description:
Generation of top-line revenue and RevPAR for the Complex through successful selling strategies. Responsibilities: · Develop sales action plans and forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively. · Ensure hotel participation in all brand revenue management initiatives. · Contribute to property revenue meetings always insuring revenue maximization and profit in all areas. · Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities · Solicit and negotiate business with new and existing clients through daily prospecting, outside sales calls, e-communications, telemarketing, referrals, site tours, and networking. · Timely submission of required reports to General Managers, Corporate Director of Hotel Operations. · Maintain a great rapport with the local Chamber of Commerce, Military and Gov’t Contractors, and companies doing business within the O’Fallon market. · Develop and maintain a working relationship with Marriott Global Sales Office. · Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify business opportunities and opportunities for improvement and innovation. · Ensure that team members (specifically Front Desk staff) are familiar with key accounts and specifics relating to business booked within the hotels. · Ascertain that hotel credit procedures are followed. · Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Corporate Leadership. Qualifications: · Two or more years of experience as a Senior Sales Manager, Assistant Director of Sales, or Director of Sales · 5 years of Hospitality Management experience or more preferred · Front Desk experience preferred but not required · Marriott experience preferred · Local market knowledge and experience preferred · High school diploma or equivalent required · Hospitality/Business/or Marketing Degree preferred · Strong interpersonal skills/a team player needed · Solid understanding of Revenue Management Principles
