Responsibilities: Implement and Support PSM and Initiatives. Supervise changes to procedures, equipment or processes for potential safety impacts and need for mitigation, escalation or further analysis. Conduct detailed PSM design review on new construction of systems and system integration. Collaborate with site EHS, Facility, and Fab Engineers to define and implement process safety solutions and strategies for controlling process hazards associated with chemistries, tools, and facilities systems. Support Incident Investigation when Process Safety is involved. Support implementation of process safety improvements to process systems and equipment identified by sites and review process safety impacts from Model of Record (MOR) transfer. Assist in development of PSM and/or RMP programs, as applicable. Collaborate to Assess and Mitigate Risk. Support engineering teams through process safety audits and detailed reviews of chemical and tool safety for new or changed processes, chemicals, or equipment. Conduct or participate in risk analysis or hazard identification by applying industry accepted techniques such as Hazard and Operability Studies (HazOp) and other standard methodologies. Work with engineering teams to build and implement solutions for mitigating or controlling identified hazards and risks. Manage Process Safety Metrics and Measures. Manage hazard review findings and supervise to closure. Maintain and report on metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to supervise health and progress of the process safety program. Drive closure to gaps in process safety metrics/KPI performance. Identify and characterize process hazards in processes, equipment, and technologies and update the Relative Risk Analysis table as appropriate. Promote a Safe and Compliant Workplace. May telecommute part-time. Minimum Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Process Safety Engineer-related occupation. Process safety engineering principles and engineering calculations for process safety studies. Participating or leading risk analysis or hazard identification sessions by applying industry accepted techniques, including Hazard and Operability Studies (HazOp) in Risk analysis applicable to semiconductor and fabrication equipment. OSHA process safety management and risk-based process safety framework. Consequence Modeling reports and analysis. Management of Change to supervise changes to procedures, equipment or processes for potential safety impacts and need for mitigation, escalation or further analysis. Engineering standards and Best Practices applicable to semiconductor set-ups and supporting equipment. Reading and interpreting schematic drawings or similar technical renderings. Process safety audits and detailed reviews of chemical and tool safety for new or changed processes, chemicals, or equipment. The US base salary range that Micron Technology, Inc. estimates it could pay for this full-time position is $142,293.00 - $171,000.
