OVERVIEW
Element Critical is seeking to add an Account Director located in Chicago, IL to manage general accounting and associated processes for our company; who aligns with our company values of accountability, integrity, grit, and problem-solving. You will be tasked with identifying new opportunities for acquiring clients and enhancing relationships with existing customers within the Chicagoland area. The primary focus will be on prospecting, lead generation, and building referral partnerships. A strong technical understanding of Data Center technology, Connectivity, and Cloud services is required. The main focus is on “Selling New Logos!”
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following represent some of the responsibilities that will be assigned to the Account Director:
Achieve sales quota through targeted efforts
Evaluate, qualify, and close sales of technical solutions
Oversee CRM system – Manage sales pipeline and forecast on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis using NetSuite
Maintain 6-8 appointments per week across various stages of the sales cycle
Create customer presentations and actively participate in meetings with clients
Develop focused, actionable account plans for prospect development and present these plans to leadership
Communicate Element Critical’s value proposition to qualified prospects through phone calls and in-person meetings, both verbally and via formal presentations
Collect and evaluate customer requirements to create proposals and secure new business
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate service delivery and maintain regular communication with customers regarding their needs, including periodic reviews with a Customer Support Representative from Operations
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Chicagoland market
Work with Operations to address and resolve service quality issues
Perform other tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred
3-5 years' experience of sales in the Data Center industry
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in close team environments
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Demonstrate strong focus on achieving sales (revenue results)
Knowledge in market trends and understanding in metric driven environments
Experience with complex sales (total solution vs point solution sale)
Well connected network in the Chicagoland area
Experience in CRM tools, preferably NetSuite
