Legacy Community Health , the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Texas, seeks Outpatient Infectious Disease Physicians in Houston.
The Infectious Disease Physician will work in outpatient clinics in medically underserved communities to provide clinical care to adults, focusing on infectious diseases. The Physician will provide infectious disease specialty care services in addition to general primary care.
Although primarily focused on Infectious Disease, the Physician will also manage and treat common health problems and complex illnesses and disorders. The Infectious Disease Physician will develop and update clinical guidelines for Legacy Community Health regarding HIV, Hepatitis C, Chronic Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, PrEP, PEP, doxyPEP, and other infectious diseases. The Physician will also be responsible for supervising advanced practice providers, mentoring students, providing expert consults and assistance across other service lines when needed, reporting certain diseases, collaborating with public health organizations, and performing other duties as assigned.
