(Full Time) Director of Worship and Youth

Church Overview: Rothwell Baptist Church is a smaller family church in the heart of old Pooler. We desire to see people GROW in their relationship with Jesus, CONNECT with others, SERVE the community, and REACH people with the gospel. Our Pastor was just brought on staff in October of 2022, and the church has a desire to impact the community and is already seeing results from their effort. We currently have a couple of youth and a few volunteers who are starting the youth ministry from scratch. Our future is bright as our children's ministry has a larger number of students who will soon flood the youth ministry. On the worship side of things, we have a blended style of service. Being multigenerational, we use timeless hymns and modern worship to glorify God. We know the Lord wants to do great things amongst our congregation and our city, and we are asking God to use us however He needs to in order to reach those around us. Overview: The Director of Worship and Youth Ministry should have a heart for Jesus and for others. The Director of Worship and Youth Ministry will lead the congregation in worship and help prepare the hearts of the people for the Word of the Lord. He will teach the congregation how worship is a vital part of our Christian walk. The Director of Worship and Youth Ministry will lead the youth in our church to follow the mission of the church. He should be a part of the students' lives and continually point them towards what Jesus has for them. This is a Full-Time position. Qualifications: Demonstrates an active relationship with the Lord and a desire to continually grow closer to Him Exceptionally relational with all age groups Communicates and leads effectively Has a heart for the lost, especially youth Proficient in Planning Center, ProPresenter, Final Cut Pro, and Logic Pro (or willing to be a student of these programs) Leads worship with an instrument (guitar or keyboard preferred) Bachelor’s degree preferred Musical education to some degree Responsibilities: Worship Lead worship for Sunday morning service Develop a worship team for Sunday services Input service order on Planning Center Input lyrics on ProPresenter Train future musicians for a worship team Lead worship team spiritually Recruit volunteers to assist in worship ministry Oversee the tech team and utilize volunteers to aid in our worship service Weekly rehearsal with worship team Sunday Morning sound check Edit and publish services on Facebook and YouTube Manage the Worship budget Help when needed for funerals and weddings and other various church events Other duties as assigned by the Pastor Youth (Middle and High School) Lead youth service on Wednesday night (6-7:30pm) Build the youth ministry from the ground up Lead our students spiritually Actively recruit and train volunteers to serve in youth ministry (Sunday Morning and Wednesday Night) Manage the youth budget Communicate through our social media platforms, bulletin, and website with events and other details for youth ministry Take students to camp, mission trips, and other events Other duties as assigned by the Pastor To Whom Responsible The Director of Worship and Youth Ministry is directly responsible to the Pastor and subsequently to the Personnel Committee.
