Role: Financials Business Systems Analyst (BSA) II
Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 4 months (contract to hire) Rate: Market
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise System Issue Management (60%):
Monitor, track, and analyze IT issues, incidents, and service disruptions affecting Oracle EBS financial systems. Perform system configuration changes or customizations to resolve issues and implement enhancements. Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related financial system issues, ensuring proper triage, categorization, and prioritization. Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.
Enterprise System Implementation & Enhancements (40%):
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into system designs, workflows, and user stories for development. Analyze data flow across applications to develop effective data mapping and integration plans. Work with developers to ensure system customizations and extensions meet business requirements. Develop and execute comprehensive test scripts and testing plans, including functional and regression testing. Coordinate change requests, release schedules, stakeholder communications, and smoke testing before system releases. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing testing strategies and collaborating with business users to validate solutions.
Knowledge & Skills Required: Strong expertise in Oracle Financials ERP modules (GL, AP, AR, FA). Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL. Familiar with financial/accounting and reporting tools. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills. Experience with process automation, system integrations, and finance-related technology initiatives. Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial regulatory requirements is a plus. Education & Experience Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in finance or ERP-related roles. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related field. Experience in ERP system implementations, configurations, and enhancements. Prior experience with Oracle ERP Financials or similar enterprise financial systems is highly desirable.
