??????Job Description: Human Resources Generalist

Summary The Human Resources Generalist will independently oversee all HR functions for our clients companies, based at their corporate headquarters. This role emphasizes fostering a positive team member experience while managing HR operations, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and supporting leadership to align HR strategies with business goals. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the HR Generalist will be a trusted resource for employees and managers alike. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the furniture, manufacturing, or warehouse industry.

Compensation $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact, managing HR functions for approximately 200 employees across four store locations.

  • Conduct recruitment, onboarding, and exit interviews.

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment implementation.

  • Process and oversee FMLA cases, ensuring compliance and timely communication with employees and management.

  • Assist managers with employee performance evaluations and provide HR-related counseling.

  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to align HR strategies with company objectives.

  • Develop and deliver training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and benefits.

  • Maintain up-to-date personnel records, ensuring compliance with EEO, OSHA, and other legal standards.

  • Prepare HR metrics, logs, and reports as required.

  • Visit store locations as needed to provide on-site HR support and foster connections with team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field (relevant experience or certifications considered).

  • 2-4 years of recent experience in an HR role, including benefits administration, FMLA case management, and compliance expertise.

  • Preferred industry experience: Furniture, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.

  • Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity) and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Valid driver’s license required for travel to store locations.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to enforce policies with empathy and maintain professionalism under pressure.



Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
