Nocturnist
to join the award-winning faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Short Description
The position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all admissions, laboring patients, and gynecology patients in the hospital as well as providing attending support to emergency room consultations. The OB/Gyn Nocturnist will be one of two in-house attendings responsible for care. In addition to clinical proficiency, the ideal candidate should be skilled in the scholarship of teaching and be able to work with students, residents, and patients from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The Ob/Gyn Nocturnist will play an active role in the education of medical students and residents. The physician will work in cooperation with the faculty and attending physicians within and across departments to provide quality care to private and service patients. Involvement in department, hospital, and medical school activities is encouraged. The Ob/Gyn Nocturnist is expected to model and educate evidence-based practice and participate and educate trainees in performance improvement, quality, and patient safety. Employment includes an academic appointment with Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, commensurate with academic and research experience. Experience Required
